The weekend camp out.
I know I have been slipping on the blog. The longer summer days to come will give me a chance to do more posting. I make some many pretty and beautiful photographs of young women to the point that I am finding myself looking for the not so pretty and beautiful stuff to photograph. So I have been working on a few projects that will take me back to my photographic roots of reportage and documentary images. If one picture is worth a thousand words, the picture story must be the library.
The photos below are from a few weeks ago. It is always a great time camping with friends and family at the farm pond. Most of the images were shoot using a Canon 6D with a 50mm1.8 or the 16-35Lf2.8. A couple with an iPhone 4s. ISO ranged any where from 400 to 102400. Are the pictures pretty at 102400, hell no. But there is a picture. Once the camera guys get it to say 204800 or 409600, one will be able to shoot at 1/125 at f8 in damn near total darkness. That is a photojournalist wet dream. f8 and be there, no matter what time of day or night.
This post isn’t about pretty pictures, but content. Content must be king.
